Lotion : A small quantity of Shoo! should be squeezed into the palm of one hand, rubbed between both hands and applied in a 'washing' or wiping action to all exposed skin.

Wipes : Remove impregnated tissue, open out, and wipe on all exposed areas. More than one tissue may be needed depending on exposed skin area. When applying to children take care to avoid the areas already mentioned. Insect Repellents should be applied on children, only by an adult.

Cautionary Notes: Avoid contact with eyes, mucus membrane & plastic or artificial materials. If contact with eyes is made, flush or bathe with fresh water or saline. Contact with plastic surfaces will soften the material and become 'tacky'. Do not allow children to handle as it may be transfered inadvertantly to the mouth or eyes. It is not necessary but advisable to clean palms of hands after application to avoid the possiblity of transference.

Insect Repellent has been on the market in the UK for over 18 years and was derived from the original chemical preparation 'DiMP' used by the Allied Forces during World War II. Shoo! has since been further developed with improved raw materials and skin softeners. Shoo! was tested by Dr Nigel Hill, Head Technologist, Disease Control & Vector Biology Unit at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in October 1997. The results of the testing were conclusive of the products effectivness.

Shoo! was tested for efficacy against two mosquito varieties; Anopheles gambiae which is the most important vector for malaria in the Tropics responsible for 2,000,000 deaths each year; Culex pipiens molestus an important human feeding pest in Europe.

In the free flying room test the results were A.gambiae 98% & C.pipiens(pictured left)100% offering protection for upto 4 hours. Shoo! Insect Repellent tested more effective than any of the natural repellents currently available and "having a level of protection amongst the best of those we have tested in several years".

Shoo! has also been field tested around the world in high risk malarial areas and has proven to be a useful tool in the protection against mosquitos carrying the most virulant strains.

Shoo! contains softeners to ensure protection of the skin, as a natural barrier. It is fragrance free, odourless, non-greasy and non-toxic. Shoo! has been tested by the Dermatological Department of the Greater Glasgow Health Board on test subjects who suffered from various skin conditions without any deleterious effect and has been deemed safe for use on the most sensitive skin and children.

Woodside Laboratories receive many requests yearly for the product from satisfied customers around the World and it would appear that DMP is a more effective repellent for Midges than DEET and certainly more pleasant to use.
